Simple Valentine’s Day Decor
Simple Valentine’s Day decor – what could be better? Did Valentine’s decorating sneak up on you? I feel like the whole month of January was a blur for me! I did manage to get a few hints of Valentine’s decor put out and about my house, but I’m keeping it simple, for sure. I love how sweet and simple this pom pom garland is, and you can pull it together in less than an hour.
Just make yourself a handful of yarn pom poms (here’s a quick tutorial). I used three different colors of yarn – white, light pink, and fuscia. Once you have a pile of pom poms, thread a large embroidery needle with a length of white yarn long enough to span your mantel and drape down the sides a bit. Stick the needle through the middle of each pom pom, slide the pom pom toward the end of the yarn (I spaced mine randomly), and repeat until you’re done. Then it’s just a matter of draping the garland across your mantel and you’re done. Sweet, simple, and darling!
You can even glue the extra pom poms onto sticks that you gather from the winter yard. They make really cute flowers that can stand in if you can’t get your hands on the real thing.
Hope you have a happy Valentine’s Day celebrating with those you love!
