Pendant lighting picks
I’ve been working on the lighting for a beautiful home being built here in my neck of the woods, so I’ve been up to my eyeballs in gorgeous lights. Lighting is really the jewelry of a home – it’s the delicious frosting on top of that basic, tasty cupcake that takes it from good to amazing. And there are just so many options to choose from, that it can be a little overwhelming, for sure!
Let me show you a few examples of how lighting really adds the oomph to a designed room.
This beautiful kitchen by Becki Owens shows the power of a few gorgeous pendants.
This is another great example from Studio McGee.
See what I mean about lighting being the jewelry? This kitchen by CC and Mike is just gorgeous, and those lights bright all those pretty details together.
Here’s a design board showing the lights that I have recently ordered for the home I’m currently working on. I just know that these lights are going to bring the whole project to life. And no, lights in a home don’t always need to have the same finish on them. You can see here that we’ve mixed some gold lights with black ones, and even mixed in some galvanized barn lights and some polished nickel. It’s going to be beautiful, and I can’t wait to show you the finished product.
In case you’re looking for lights yourself, I thought I’d share some beautiful pendants have really caught my eye lately. If you’d like to see a full shop-able list of my favorite pendants, check out the Pendants page in Shop My Favs.
